Court Services:
The Court Services Division is responsible for the provision of support services
for the Nunavut Court of Justice for all of Nunavut. The Division also provides
assistance to the public, the judiciary, counsel, the RCMP and other officials in
all the languages of Nunavut.
Additional responsibilities include administration of the Sheriff's office, the
Justice of the Peace Program, Coroner's Program, Family Support Program, the Commissioners
for Oaths and Notaries Public Program, Labour Standards Administration, support
for the Labour Standards Board, the Nunavut Criminal Code Review Board, and administration
of the Residential Tenancies Act and the provision of access to legal research through
the courthouse law library.
